She-Hulk continues to fill out its cast with the addition of the actor who will play Jennifer Walters’ best friend. Ginger Gonzaga will play the character, who so far has not been officially named. Gonzaga will be teaming up with Tatiana Maslany, who portrays the titular hero.
Deadline was the first to report Gonzaga as the new hire for the upcoming Disney+ series. As usual, Marvel offered no comment on the report, but Gonzaga confirmed the good news on Twitter.

In the comics, Walters/She-Hulk’s best friend is Patsy Walker / Hellcat, who has been played by Rachael Taylor on Netflix’s Jessica Jones. Earlier rumors claimed that another actor from that series might make the jump to Disney+, as Krysten Ritter is allegedly in talks to reprise the character of Jones. However, nothing on that front has been made official yet.Continue scrolling to keep reading

Beyond Maslany as the lead actor and Mark Ruffalo reprising his role as Bruce Banner, there isn’t a great deal known about who else will appear in She-Hulk. Maslany’s Walters is a New York City lawyer who developed similar powers as the Hulk after receiving a blood transfusion from her cousin, Banner. The show, however, has at least one of its villains set. In December, Tim Roth joined the cast to reprise his role as Abomination. The last time he played that character was in 2008’s The Incredible Hulk. That time around, Edward Norton took on the role of Bruce Banner.
Fans might not have much information on who else will be appearing in the Disney+ series, but Kevin Feige confirmed that She-Hulk is a half-hour legal comedy. After it was first thought the series might have a relatively short Season 1, rumors started swirling that She-Hulk‘s debut run would contain at least eight episodes. The Disney+ series was later confirmed to have 10 total episodes.
For Gonzaga’s part, She-Hulk will be the first foray into the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) for the actor. In fact, it will be the first time she’s had any sort of brush with the superhero genre either on television or the big screen. However, she is a veteran comedy actor with recurring roles on ABC’s Mixology and TBS’s Wrecked. She’s also appeared numerous times on Fox’s animated comedy, Family Guy.
Developed by Jessica Gao, Disney+’s She-Hulk stars Tatiana Maslany, Mark Ruffalo, Tim Roth and Ginger Gonzaga. The series has yet to receive a premiere date on Disney+.
