A new Spider-Man 3 fan poster envisions an epic face-off between Daredevil and Mysterio. Production on the MCU’s Spider-Man 3 is currently underway, and as it stands right now, it’s one of the buzziest Marvel projects within Phase 4. Tom Holland will once again play Peter Parker, who was last seen being framed for murder by Mysterio (Jake Gyllenhaal) at the end of Spider-Man: Far From Home. Complicating matters even further is Mysterio revealing Peter’s secret identity to the world, leaving the young hero in a very precarious place going into Spider-Man 3.

While plot details are still being kept under wraps, there have been a great deal of reported castings that indicate Spider-Man 3 is going to be jam-packed with familiar faces. Including a truly impressive gallery of performers from past Spider-Man movies like Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire, Spider-Man 3 will feature Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange. Additionally, it’s rumored that Charlie Cox will bring back his Daredevil for the first time since his Netflix show was cancelled. Fans are excited at the possibility, though Marvel has yet to comment on it one way or another.

Still, the mere chance that Daredevil will be in Spider-Man 3 has led to a burst of creativity from fans eager to see Matt Murdock team up with Peter. This new piece from venomology imagines Daredevil standing up to a larger than life Mysterio. The scene looks reminiscent of Mysterio’s terrifying illusions from Far From Home, and it looks awesome. Check it out down below.

The art presents a really intriguing scene, one that many would probably love to see on the big screen. Daredevil is a formidable fighter, and it would be incredible to see him go head to head with Mysterio. The villain got the upper hand over Peter in Far From Home when he unleashed his illusions, though one wonders if they would have the same effect on Daredevil. Would Daredevil’s blindness give him a leg up against Mysterio’s tricks? Maybe so.

It isn’t clear if Mysterio will be in Spider-Man 3, as his death in Far From Home doesn’t count him out entirely. His machinations from beyond the grave have shown he’ll have some kind of presence in the third film, it’ll just be a matter of how that takes shape. As for Daredevil, recent reports have indicated Cox reportedly wrapped filming on the project recently, so fans just might be seeing him suit up alongside Holland. It might be some time until Marvel confirms Daredevil’s involvement with Spider-Man 3, but it’s clear fans are ready to welcome him into the film side of the MCU with open arms.
