The cast for the Suicide Squad spinoff series Peacemaker continues to grow, with four new names being added.

Four new names have been added to the cast of HBO Max’s Peacemaker series, including one star who will reportedly appear as a series regular.

Actors Chukwudi Iwuji, Lochlyn Munro, Annie Chang and Christopher Heyerdahl are said to be joining John Cena and company in The Suicide Squad spinoff, which will focus on Cena’s Peacemaker character who is set to appear in James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad next year.

According to Deadline, Iwuji will portray Clemson Murn in the series regular role, while the others will be recurring guest stars. Munro will appear as Dr. Larry Fitzgibbon, Chang as Detective Sophie Song and Heyerdahl as Captain Locke. Fitzgibbon is the head doctor at Belle Reve penitentiary and will be an aide to Viola Davis’ Amanda Waller character.

HBO Max had reportedly pegged Fantasy Island and Nikita star Maggie Q for the Det. Song role, but Deadline reports that it is Chang who will be portraying the “tough and witty” character. Chang is best known for her appearances in the NBC series Shades of Blue with Jennifer Lopez and Ray Liotta, the Netflix series Master of None with Aziz Ansari and The Jim Gaffigan Show.

Written and produced by James Gunn, Peacemaker stars John Cena, Steve Agee, Danielle Brooks, Robert Patrick, Jennifer Holland, Chris Conrad, Chukwudi Iwuji, Lochlyn Munro, Annie Chang and Christopher Heyerdahl. The eight-episode series has yet to receive an HBO Max premiere date.
